This 200 hour Yoga Alliance registered Training Intensive and 200 Hour Teacher Training will begin Tuesday February 11th,? 2014 and run through the end of May. This training is designed both for those wishing to establish the foundations of a teaching practice as well as for those wanting to deepen their knowledge and refine their practice space.
You will participate in a small group intensive one weekend a month for 4 months, 15 individual hours with Elizabeth, and weekly group practice sessions.? This training is Ashtanga based with support from the Iyengar tradition and is limited to 10 practitioners. Upon completion of the program you will be qualified to register with Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour level.
We teach from the spaces we construct through practice. Therefore, this foundational teacher training is practice based. We will practice together 2-4 practice sessions per week interweaving mindfulness practices, technique and methodology, functional anatomy and physiology, therapeutics and philosophy. In addition you will engage in one on one sessions for individual process and to define and articulate your desires and particular lines of inquiry. We will meet together as a group one weekend each month for further studies including functional anatomy and physiology, adjustments, pranayama, philosophy and history of yoga, somatic psychology and ethics. We will also explore the intersections of classical yoga practice and philosophy with other contemplative practices including Buddhism, contemporary art and movement languages, and contemporary psychoanalysis.
February 11th- May 29th We will meet twice weekly on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9:00 p.m. You will participate in the Ashtanga Foundations group practice followed by an hour with the teacher training group as we delve more deeply into technique and methodology.
Weekend Dates: The following dates are tentative. As we will be a small group we will adjust the schedule at Orientation if such is necessary. Each weekend will consist of four 2.5 hour sessions. Feb 15-16, March 1-2, Mar 22-23, Apr 5-6, May 3-4, May 17-18.

Tuition for the full program is 2,985.00. An additional 3% will be added for credit card payments. Payment arrangements may be made on an individual basis. Tuition does not include books or additional class fees.
