Examples are yoga therapy support for anxiety, depression and panic disorders; yoga therapy support for addiction and substance abuse recovery; yoga therapy for the aging body; yoga therapy for auto-immune disorders, etc. The training is facilitated by Elizabeth Rogers, MA, E-RYT-500. Additional Information: This program is registered with Yoga Alliance at the 300 hour advanced training level which means as an RYT 200 you will be eligible to register for RYT 500 status. This program is intended to provide you with additional training you will need to grandfather in with IAYT which is an option for each participant who completes the training provided you began your yoga therapy training with Atlanta Yoga or another qualified school during or prior to 2013. ? I intend to use this small group as a pilot for a longer program that will meet IAYT 800 hour accreditation standards and will be submitted to teh accreditation process.? That said, it will allow us to focus on topics that interest each of you and to develop them as we progress. We will complete the group work in 1 year and you will have an additional 6 months-1 year, if needed, to complete your one on one hours and practicum. In addition to your one on one hours, we will meet as a group one weekend a month.? As we will be a small group we will determine the specific dates/weekends together. 100 hours of your training will be supervised practicum. You may chose to work with individuals, groups or a combination of both. 15 of your one on one hours will be used to support you in developing through your practicum work. The remaining 15 hours will be used to assist you in articulating and developing your personal areas of interest which will culminate in a research project or creative project. Personal process (working one on one with me in a therapeutic format) is encouraged and will greatly inform and enrich your experience, but this is quite separate from this training. Fees for the training are 4,495. Class fees are not included in this and you are expected to keep up your personal practice with at least two classes per week in the studio.
